Urgent Care   

For emergency situations, Maine Neurology's Urgent Care program handles acute problems requiring quick attention, with a referral from the patient's primary care provider. Most patients are seen within 24-48 hours. Urgent Care allows patients to avoid an emergency room (hospital) visit and unnecessary testing. Urgent Care Includes:

• Seizures, spells and syncope
• TIA's, recent strokes
• Subacute neurological deficits
• Nerve injuries, cervical/lumbar radiculopathy
• Altered mental status
• Abnormal MRI readings
• Optic neuritis, amaurosis fugax, diplopia
• Vertigo, acute ataxia
