John R. Belden, M.D.   Neurology

Dr. Belden's neurological interests include stroke diagnosis and management, ultrasound of cranial vessels, MRI scanning of the nervous system, and the practice of general neurology. He has participated in clinical trials in cerebrovascular disease and multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Belden graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BS in Nuclear Engineering in 1973. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA in 1979, completed an internal medicine internship at Grady Memorial Hospital/Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in 1982, and completed his residency in neurology at Colorado Health Science Center in 1985.

Dr. Belden is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Department of Neurology of University of Vermont College of Medicine at Maine Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the Stroke Council (American Heart Association) and a member of the National Stroke Association.
